How To Create Another Website On The Same cPanel
In this article, we will show you how to create another website on the same account.If you use our nameservers then you do not need to add any records on your domains DNS. If you use an additional service such as Cloudflare then you will need to manually create these A records. We have a guide on How To Set Up cPanel AutoSSL Certificates When Using Cloudflare here.
Adding Another Website To Your cPanel
If you wish to add another domain or subdomain then following this guide will show you how to add one.
- Log in to cPanel.If you’re unsure of how to log in to cPanel please follow this article.
- Scroll down to the domains section then select “Domains”.
- In the top-right corner select “Create A New Domain”
- Type in the domain name in the domain box. You will need to type in the exact URL you are wanting. An example of this would be newsubdomain.sheffielddigitalagency.co.uk.
* If cPanel asks you did you mean …. simply ignore it. - Make sure Share document root is unchecked
- Select the submit button.
* Your domain has now been created.
Installing An SSL Certificate
On our system, SSL runs every 24 Hours and auto-installs SSL on all websites. If you want to start working on your website straight away then follow the following steps:
- Log in to cPanel.If you’re unsure of how to log in to cPanel please follow this article.
- Scroll down to the Security section then select “SSL/TLS Status”.
- Tick the empty box to the left of each domain.
- After the process has been completed you will see that the icon has changed to a green secure padlock.
- Select the cPanel logo to go back to the cPanel homepage.
Installing WordPress Using Our 1-Click Installer
- In the left-hand menu select WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
- Select Install.
- In the Choose Installation URL list box, select the domain you wish to have the site installed on. This could be a subdomain too.
*Make sure you have selected HTTPS in the protocol - Leave the In Directory text box blank unless you wish to install this inside a directory.
- In the Site Name box, type your site name.
- In the Site Description box, type your site description.
- In the Admin Username text box, type the administrator username or leave it to the randomly generated one.
- In the Admin Password text box, type the administrator password or leave it to the randomly generated one. You can also select the key on the right side to create another generated password.
- In the Admin Email text box, type the site administrator e-mail address.
- Select install
- Once WordPress has been installed select “return to WordPress Management”. This will take you back to the WordPress Manager by Softaculous dashboard.
- Select the login button to enter the backend of WordPress. This will allow you to create your website.
