By default we enable backups on every installation for our clients however If you wish to change the frequency of these backups then follow the guide below.
- Login to cPanel. If you’re unsure of how to log in to cPanel please follow this article.
- In the left-hand menu select WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
- In the top-right menu select “All Installations”
- Select the “Edit Details” button for the installation you want to enable/edit Automated backups for.
- Select the Automatic Backups details you wish to have.
– Under automated backups choose the Backup frequency i.e. “Once a Day”, “Once a Week”, or “Once a Month”, choose “Don’t Backup” if you wish to disable automated backups
– Under Backup Rotation. Select the number of automated backups you wish to have. By selecting 2 backups once the maximum limit is attained (2 backups), Softaculous will overwrite the earliest backup associated with this installation. - Select the Save Installation Details button located at the bottom.
You have now configured the Automated backups for this installation. - Select Return to WordPress management to visit the WordPress Manager by Softaculous dashboard.
