# How to Set Up Your cPanel Email Account on Android

Setting up **email on an Android device** is perfect for staying connected where ever you are for business or personal. This guide will walk you through configuring your **cPanel email account** using the **default Google email app (Gmail)** that is installed on all Android devices.

## **Step 1: Open Gmail Settings and Navigate to Accounts**

1. Tap on the Gmail App on your Android device.
2. Tap the 3 horizontal lines at the top left on your Android device.
3. Scroll down to the bottom and select **Settings**.
4. Tap **Add Account** to begin setting up your email.

## **Step 2: Select Email Account Type**

1. **Tap Other** located at the bottom

## **Step 3: Enter Your Email Address**

1. In the **Enter Your Email Address** field, type your **full email address**. We will be typing conor@sheffieldwebsitedesigner.co.uk
2. **Tap Next**
3. **Tap Personal IMAP**
4. **Enter** Your Password
5. **Tap Next**

## **Step 4: Configure Incoming Mail Server Settings**

1. A server box will pop up at the bottom. You will need to **enter your incoming server address**. It is usually **mail.yourdomainname.com** so we will be entering **mail.sheffieldwebsitedesigner.co.uk**
2. **Tap Next**

## **Step 5: Configure Outgoing Mail Server Settings**

1. A SMTP server box will pop up at the bottom. You will need to **enter your outgoing server address**. It is usually **mail.yourdomainname.com** so we will be entering **mail.sheffieldwebsitedesigner.co.uk**
2. **Tap Next**

## **Step 6: Set Up Account Sync Preferences**

1. The **Account Options** page will appear.
2. In the **Sync Frequency** dropdown, select how often your device should check for new emails.
   - To receive notifications for new emails, check **Notify me when email arrives**.
   - To enable the syncing of emails, check **Sync email from this account**.
   - If using **IMAP**, check **Automatically download attachments when connected to Wi-Fi** to save data.
3. **Tap Next** to finish the setup.

## **Step 7: Finishing Account Setup**

1. In the **Account Name (optional)** field, enter a label for this email account (e.g., Work Email).
2. In the **Your Name** field, enter the display name that should appear in your outgoing emails.
3. Tap **Next** to complete the setup process.
