To add password protection to a directory in cPanel, follow these steps:
- Log in to cPanel.

- Find the directory you wish to protect.
- Click Edit.
- Click the password protect this directory checkbox.
- Enter a name for the protected directory.
- Click .
- Click Go Back
Now you have password-protected the directory. We will need to create a user. - Type a username in the username field.
- Type a password in the new password feild.
- Type the same password in the confirm password field.
- Click Save.
