In this article, you will learn how to suspend and unsuspend accounts in WHM (WebHost Manager). If you’re not using an automated solution such as WHMCS then this is something you need to learn how to it manually. You can suspend an account for any reason you deem valid however the main reasons you should suspend accounts if they do any of the following:
- Haven’t made a hosting payment
- Used more than their allowed limit e.g storage, bandwidth etc
- Breaking your TOS
How to suspend a cPanel account in WHM
To suspend an account in WHM, follow these steps:
- Login to WHM
If you’re unsure of how to log in to WHM please follow this article - On the left side, type suspend in the search box then click
- Select the user you would like to suspend
- type in a reason for the suspension
- if the account belongs to your reseller click the box to stop them from unsuspending the account
- click suspend
How to unsuspend a cPanel account in WHM
To unsuspend an account in WHM, follow these steps:
- Login to WHM

- Select the user you would like to unsuspend.
Suspended users are usually in red. - Click unsuspend.
