CREATING A SQL DATABASE

 

  1. Log in to the client area by clicking here

  1. In the Quick Shortcuts, Click MySQLDatabases

  1. Under Create New Database, Type in your new database name
  2. Press Create Database

  1. Scroll down the page until you get to MySQL Users
  2. Under Add New User, Type in your selected username followed by a password

*Make sure you remember your password. You’ll need it later.

  1. In the Add User To Database section, Select the user and database you’ve just created.
  2. Press Add

*Make sure you remember the database name and user

INSTALLING WORDPRESS MANUALLY

Now you have created your database and users. You need to download wordpress, You can do this by clicking here. Make sure the download stays as a .ZIP file.Now Head back over to your Hosting service or log in via C-Panel.

  1. In the Quick Shortcuts menu, Click File Manager. You can also do this by clicking C-Panel on the left sidebar.

  1. Click on public_html

  1. In the top menu, click Upload

  1. You can either drag the zip file in to the window or press select file.
  2. When the file has uploaded, Press Back
  3. Right click the file and press extract
  4. Press OK

  1. This is what your public_html folder should look like

  1. Right click on wp-config.php
  2. Press Edit

  1. Fill in the following MySQL Settings we created earlier.
  2. Database Name
  3. Database Username
  4. Database Password
  5. Head over to your URL http://example.com/wp-admin
