How To Install WordPress Manually In C-Panel
Creating A MySQL Database Using The Wizard
- Log in to the client area
- Click Services
- Select the service you require. We will be using our Hosting
- In the side menu, Click Login To C-Panel
- Search for MySQL in the C-panel search bar
- Click on the MySQL Database Wizard as this will be the easiest way to set up the database with user accounts
- Type in your desired Database name make sure you write it down as we’ll need this later.
- Type in a username and password make sure you write it down as we’ll need this later.
- press create user
- tick the all privileges box to select all the fields
- press next step
- your database and user account have now been created.

Installing WordPress Manually
Now you have created your database and users. You need to download WordPress, You can do this by clicking here. Make sure the download stays as a .ZIP file. Now Head back over to your Hosting service or log in via C-Panel.
- In the Quick Shortcuts menu, click File Manager. You can also do this by clicking C-Panel on the left sidebar.
- Click on the File manager
- Click on public_html
- In the top menu, click Upload
- You can either drag the zip file into the window or press select file
- When the file has uploaded (the bar will turn green), Press Back
- Right-click the file and press extract
- Press OK
- This is what your public_html folder should look like
- Right-click on wp-config-sample.php
- Press Edit
- Fill in the following MySQL Settings we created earlier
- Database Name – make sure you include before the _. Use the image below for reference.
- Database Username – make sure you include before the _. Use the image below for reference.
- Database Password
- Press save changes
- Right-click on wp-config-sample.php
- Click Rename
- Rename the file to “wp-config.php”
- Head over to your URL http://example.com/wp-admin
- Click your language then press continue
- enter the following
- site title
- admin username, this will to be to log in as admin on the site
- password
- an email address to receive notifications
- press install WordPress
- Click login
- enter the username and password you created
- congratulations you have created a working WordPress site
